Khoirudin Supports Free Nutritious Food Program Fully

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin, supports the implementation of free nutritious meal (MBG) program. He thanked the central government's effort for fulfilling the nutrition for students.

"I appreciate central government effort by providing the free nutritious meal program," he said, Tuesday (1/7).

He added that there are residents still need nutritious food even though they live in Jakarta with high welfare level. That is why the city council will support the program implementation by preparing the budget.

"We and Jakarta Provincial Government also support tthe program by preparing the budget," he added.

Khoirudin hopes the program will be able to increase health and productivity of Jakarta residents. Jakarta City Council will supervise the program through its commissions.

As for information, there were four Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG)s to distribute free nutritious meal for 12,054 students. Those four SPPGs are SPPG Halim, Susukan Ciracas, Palmerah, and SPPG Pulogebang Cakung.

This MBG program is to support optimal growth and development, improve learning concentration, and student health at various levels of education.
